When recreating my CV I was a bit anxious because it’s a scary thing to do. I know recruiters will not only be paying attention to the content on the CV, they’ll also be paying attention to the layout of it. Daniel was resourceful enough to give a us an InDesign tutorial on how to set a layout for a CV.
Before embarking on this CV creation I have decided to search for some inspirations online:
Jeff Wang - Product designer at WillowTree
The layout of this CV was very appealing. I like the use of the colour orange in it. I feel as though it is very easy to go through without getting lost
Jessie Van - Product Design at Google
This layout is very good. I feel as though the lines group things really well. Although there are too many words and it looks a bit too congested
Jihoon Suh - Product Design at Facebook
This CV is also well organised, it looks like the first one but the other way around. I decided to add this in here because I know that sometimes making little changes can make an impact
Rachel Cohen - Senior UX Designer at LinkedIn
This is the one I like the most. I like the fact that it doesn’t look congested. The layout is also very minimal which makes this CV easy to read

This was the result I got from trying my first CV draft on CV360. Unfortunately I cannot showcase this version as it is the same one that I made changes to and made it into my final CV
This score was higher than the first one. The errors mentioned were minute errors that didn’t matter hence I went ahead and used the potfolio. Besides this I had my CV checked by an advisor and after applying the new knowledge to my CV i felt very confident with it.
