I sat with one of my peers and together we decided to brainstorm some ideas; doing this mind map with him was very efficient as it helped us see things from different perspectives. In this mind map we decided to list down everything that can be controlled via a smart home hub/ IoT.

The mind map was then refined on Miro to make it look neater and more comprehensible, after doing this we added more to the mind map; we added different methods that we thought an AR could be controlled. As seen in the images below the mind maps lists things ranging from innovations, gesture controls, possible users, smart home devices that can be controlled and other features such as a smart mirror that also replaces the AR lens if/ when the user isn’t using the AR lens.

These mind maps served as a compass for me to know everything that I wanted to incorporate in my AR lens project; it was during this mind mapping that my peer and I discussed the ethical concerns regarding the Neurolink, this is when I made up my mind not to incorporate it into my project because not everyone might want a device attached to their brain, it’s quite invasive.
