I used Adobe fonts to find some fonts that I thought would suit my target audience and with the help of some feedback from my peers I was able to pick what fonts and colours to use. The colours were gathered from Coolors, a website that generates some nice colour schemes. After doing so I proceeded to testing their accessibility on an accessibility website because I wanted to ensure that the backgrounds colours wouldn’t cause hindrance to users with any sort of

Improving Colour Palette

During the building phase of my project I decided to use the built in contrast checker in Figma and I came to realise that there were some slight issues, henceforth I had to change some of the shade of one of my colours. I was fortunate that it was only one colour, changing it across all screens as an easy task.

Reason why this colour palette and tyopgraphy were chosen

These colours have psychological influences and meanings behind them; the green shades inspire Hope, Growth, Balance, and Reassurance, and the yellow elicits Friendliness and Approachable like IKEA’s staff’s yellow tops; the colour red brings forth Action and as for the black and white, i chose them to be either foreground or background colours for texts
