This day we learned about the making of a landing page and the importance of using hierarchy when it comes to creating a landing page as, this is because it is good to establish what your brand is about and what how the consumers can benefit from your product. A landing page must be laid out properly so that anyone who views it sees the important and relevant things first, things that will make them want to keep scrolling further. In order to grasp an idea of how to lay out our hierarchy on our landing page we conducted an exercise where we had to draw circles on a big sheet of paper, the inner circle contained primary information and content, whereas the second circle withheld secondary content, and in my case it was my brand’s mission and some texts to encourage the audience to learn via our product, the tertiary circle had things such as core values and reviews. Below is an image of my sheet with my landing page content hierarchy.
It wasn’t easy thinking of what I want the audience to see first and so my tutor gave me some feedback and told me that what matters the most is what you’re offering, hence we it is important to showcase what your brand is about and what the brand’s main goal is. What I aim to achieve with this brand is to attract people between the ages 16-25 and offer them financial advice, teach them to budget, encourage them to grow their money with the tools we offer.
