In today’s class we had an insightful session with Glenda from the employability team, where she discussed GoGlobal opportunities and ways to enhance employability. She shared various options for studying or volunteering abroad and how these experiences can contribute to personal and professional growth. They also count as placement

The idea of going abroad is sounds amazing as it offers a chance to learn new things. But I don’t feel like I’d be inclined to applying for it despite how appealing it all seems.

She also taught us about the importance of etiquette in the workplace. Glenda spoke to use about how small things leave impactful impressions; she made it clear that this is very crucial especially in Northern Ireland, since the design community isn’t as vast as other countries. These insights were very helpful and I am looking forward to applying to wherever I go in the future. I feel as though me being a people person will make it a bit easy for me to socialise and get along with new people.
